Following a career in journalism and public relations, Michael became a literary agent after he joined the Harold Matson Company in 1977.
He left Matson in 1983 to start Don Congdon Associates, Inc, with his father, Don, of which he is now President.
He has served on the Board of Directors, and as Literary Vice President, of the Association of Author’s Representatives (AAR, now AALA) and has been a member of the organization’s Ethics, International and Program committees.
He has represented a variety of commercial and literary fiction, as well as non-fiction, including history, military history, biography, and narrative non-fiction.
