Matt focuses on guiding clients toward long‑term professional and personal goals.
Prior to founding Fresh Books, he was an agent at Waterside Productions (1989–2004), where he sold over 1,000 books to more than 30 publishers, generating over $25 million in author revenue.
He holds a BA in Creative Writing and Literature from UC Santa Cruz and studied playwriting and dramaturgy in the Professional Theatre Training Program at UC San Diego.
