Agent Bio

Kathryn always loved books and began her career in publishing in the Girl Scouts of America publications department before moving to Penthouse magazine, where she rose from editorial assistant to Fiction Editor.

After a period living in London and apprenticing at a friend’s agency, she opened her own literary agency and has kept a deliberately small list.

She is open to all types of fiction with particular interest in historical fiction, cozy mysteries, young adult and middle grade.

In nonfiction she seeks memoir, parenting, humor with a pop culture bent, history, and quirky nonfiction.

She holds a BA in Journalism from The George Washington University and serves on the Women’s Media Group and as an advisory member of the National Council of the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University.
