Barbara Lowenstein

Barbara Lowenstein began her publishing career as an assistant at the Sterling Lord Agency and created the first line of trade paperbacks at Lancer Books.

After serving briefly as Director of Subsidiary Rights for Walker Books, she founded Lowenstein Associates to combine editorial skills with a talent for selling.

For over four decades she has represented international bestselling and prizewinning authors, helping secure translations, adaptations, and major publishing successes.

Her clients include mystery authors whose series have been adapted for television and widely translated, as well as celebrated writers in nonfiction, business, and prizewinning science writing.
