She has lived and worked in France, Germany, England and the USA and holds an MA in French and German from St Andrews University and a postgraduate diploma in Printing and Publishing Studies from the London College of Printing.
She established a new non-fiction list as Commissioning Editor for Northern Ireland at Gill and Macmillan (2003-2006) and set up a rights department and later became Commissioning Editor at Blackstaff Press (1996-2002).
