Danielle Binks joined JDM in 2016 following a career as a freelance commentator of Australian Young Adult literature and chair‑person of the grassroots #LoveOzYA committee.
She edited and contributed to Begin, End, Begin (2017) and is the author of the middle‑grade bestselling The Year the Maps Changed (a 2021 CBCA Notable Book), the YA novel The Monster of Her Age (winner, Young Adult category, 2022 Indie Book Awards), and the middle‑grade novel Six Summers of Tash and Leopold.
She teaches Fiction & Young Adult Writing in the Associate Degree of Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT University.
