Grace Johnson

Grace Johnson grew up in the north woods of Washington and Minnesota.

Before joining The Cheney Agency in 2022 and the agency’s foreign rights department in 2023, Grace worked as a fiction and nonfiction literary assistant at Trident Media Group, and served as fiction editor of VIDA Review.

Grace gravitates toward voice-driven literary fiction with an edge, genre fiction that expands its categorical boundary, and books with a strong sense of place or subculture.

In nonfiction, Grace is especially drawn to personal narrative and memoir, and cultural history and criticism that undoes convention.
