Paul Sebes founded Sebes Bisseling Kleuver Literary Agency after leaving Prometheus at age 32.

He began in publishing at Prometheus and discovered agenting at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Over the years he built the agency into an international firm with almost thirty colleagues in five countries.

He negotiated the largest deal ever in the Netherlands for Michelle and Barack Obama’s memoirs and has made major deals for authors such as Paul Auster, Bill Clinton, Bono, Michael Cunningham, Jonathan Franzen, Alan Hollinghurst, Nathan Hill, Stephen King, Rachel Kushner, Prince Harry, Nora Roberts, the J D Salinger estate, and the John Steinbeck estate.

He prefers outstanding literary novels, exceptional thrillers, and serious non fiction with international and film or television potential.
