Sophie Hicks founded her own agency in 2014 after 25 years at Ed Victor Ltd, where she began in foreign rights, started her own list, and became Managing Director in 1999.
Her authors have been New York Times and Sunday Times bestsellers across adult and children’s lists, in both fiction and non-fiction, and have been shortlisted for or won prizes including the Costa Book Award, Carnegie Medal, Guardian Children's Fiction Prize, Waterstone's Children's Book of the Year, British Book Award and Irish Book Award.
A member of The Book Society and Women in Publishing, she seeks new adult voices (except women's fiction), clever accessible non-fiction, and children’s/YA for ages 9+.
