Shannon Gallagher

Shannon spent more than twelve years in marketing at Rodale, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, and Simon & Schuster.

After moving to upstate New York she worked as a book reviewer and copywriter.

She joined Wernick & Pratt, learned children’s literature and literary agency work, and became an Associate Agent where she uses her marketing experience to identify encourage and promote authors and illustrators.

She is interested in both fiction and nonfiction across all categories of children’s literature from picture books to young adult and especially welcomes underrepresented perspectives.

She graduated from Bryn Mawr College and lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband and daughter.
