Susan worked on the editorial side as Editor‑in‑Chief of St Martin’s and Atheneum Books and Executive Editor of Pocket Books at Simon & Schuster, where they published authors including Alice Walker and John Irving, transitioned to agenting spanning both fiction and nonfiction, works closely with authors editorially, and represents clients who have reached the New York Times bestseller list and won major awards such as the Pulitzer Prize, PEN Open Book Award, Whiting Award, NAACP Image Award, RITA Award, James Beard honors, and the Edgar Award.
